As with all of Jessica’s photographic work, human photography is the, “art of capturing the character, spirit and funk of an individual by way of natural photo-shoots complimented by post-production artistic enhancement.”

An artificial pose in an artificial environment results in an artificial product. Jessica offers the public a means by which they may capture the true essence of themselves, their environment, their pets and/or their loved ones in a format they can cherish forever.  While studio photography is available at Mad Hat Enterprise, Jessica’s talent and passion lies in the artistic expression of individuals in their element via funky, original, one-of-a-kind works of art.

“I like to start with pure, un-effected, natural shots that guide me in the post production phase – I let the subject set the scene and then I enhance it via artistic representation of their inherent character – this allows the enhancements to reflect the individual as opposed to masquerading their individuality.”

Jessica is not a huge fan of pillows and backdrops when it comes to photographing pets because the spectacular spirit and comical character of these special creatures shines through with utmost pizzazz when they are taking delight in simply being themselves in their element.

“I feel that artificially fabricated environments hinder my ability to capture the tremendous energy and natural vibrancy that all life, including animals and people, exude when they are fueled with open air, natural light and a sense of freedom.”
